We’re Jaina and Kayla.
We’re two best friends who began our individual businesses years ago, specializing in newborn, family, and wedding photography. After shooting weddings together, we realized there was something missing from our individual brands— EACH OTHER! That’s how Golden Hour Weddings began. We merged our creativity, editing, ideas, and love for documenting love stories to make a business dedicated to craft, passion, creativity, a luxury experience, and FUN. With us as your wedding photog team, you not only have two people highly trained to tell your love story, but your new best friends set on making sure this is a journey you’ll be excited about for the rest of your lives.
Kayla is Co-Owner of Golden Hour Weddings and also owns Kayla Scofield Photography. She has a studio in downtown DSM and is originally from the PNW. She’s a boy mom to three, loves the Oldies station, quotes The Office way too often, and always either has a coffee in hand or the newest good book. Kayla absolutely loves to travel and makes a point to go to a new place every year. So far, her favorite is Italy.
KAYLA SCOFIELD
Jaina is Co-Owner of Golden Hour Weddings and also owns Jaina Olson Photography. She has a studio in downtown DSM and has lived in Iowa all her life. When she’s not shooting or editing, she’s spending time with her two cute girls, riding on her Harley, or listening to Old Country. She’s a coffee lover, a dancer on every dance floor, a concert goer, and every dog’s best friend.
